Summary
After completing her queen training, Duke’s daughter Elizabeth Russell suddenly finds herself branded a 'villainess' by her fiancé, the Crown Prince, all because he accuses her of bullying another girl. With her fiancé’s change of heart and a humiliating role forced upon her by royal decree, Elizabeth decides she has had enough. She chooses to abandon it all and start a free, peaceful life in a neighboring country, forsaking romance and power in pursuit of the life she truly wants. However, waiting for her in her new home is a mysterious man, an unexpected encounter, and political turmoil she had hoped to avoid. Even though she thought she had 'retired' from being a villainess, trouble continues to follow her. Armed with the wisdom and grace she gained from her queenly education, Elizabeth sets out to find her own happiness.
