I don’t know anymore how they’ll distort the scenario (all these discussions here just don’t exist in the novel), but, well, I guess it’s going towards the expected final fight against Ursrook anyway.

It’s just Ashes isn’t supposed to evolve into an Transcendant yet, As Phyllis told her, she can evolve in battle, so wait for it.

Also, after the Spider Demons (that should NOT have appeared then, only muc, much later on in the story, during the full brunt of the war) that are very badly depicted by the way (as usual, unfortunately) because they should be much more cyborg-looking, being a mix of organic Demons body parts mixed with machinery, you should (if the “artist” does his job correctly for once) witness another of the Demon Lord “Mask” Nassaupelle’s bio-engineering masterpiece : Flying Eye Demons ! LOL

They’ll escort Ursrook at all times, making ambushing him impossible. His assets are really his wits, high intelligence and extreme wariness…. :p
