This fl just lost so many credit points with me. She’s planning to seduce a man she knows loves her, then abandon him without any explanation for an unspecified amount of time. That is so incredibly selfish. She has to know how badly her actions will hurt him but she’s still going to do it.
We saw that in the opening chapter. She loves him and she wants to be with him but she has to disappear to keep them both safe. The problem is that she could just tell him. Of course he’s also obsessed, so explaining might be better done in a letter. His family could possibly keep her safe, but that guy is a murdering psycho. So her fears are understandable.
