I read the web novel and hated that part of the story.

For those that don’t know, the guy who beat the MC up is Dong’er’s dad.
He’s also the one who insisted on making the challenge so hard.
And he’s the one banning MC from seeing Dong’er.

So he caused the situation, blames MC for the situation, and punishes MC for not preventing the situation.
It’s a bunch of unnecessary and unfair BS.
