I’m not sure how the ranking works.
Ostensively, you’d think it’s based on strength since he’s number 10 and claims to be the weakest, but we find out that all of their weapons are made by him, so if it’s the weapon that makes them strong, then the ranks should change based on the weapons.
We also know it’s not based on age, because the loli is the youngest and she’s number 1.
It’s not based on who’s known him longer because a later chapter says the sub leader and the maid have known him the longest, and they’re numbers 2 and 4 respectively.
It doesn’t seem to be based on physical strength since the mage girl is probably not benching a lot of wait (but that’s only if we assume she’s a typical mage who focuses on her magic and not her physical abilities).
I guess it could be based on their personal power without weapons, but I’m writing this after reading the 16th chapter and we’ve barely seen half of them use abilities not related to their weapons, so I can’t figure it out.
