Summary
Mujin is a fog-choked city built to be “Korea’s Las Vegas.” Sahee, drifting without a destination, slips into this unfamiliar city to hide, only to have a man named Eun-do appear before her, cold as the mist itself. “Want me to kill them for you?” “Pardon?” “Those bastards just now. If you want, I’ll kill them.” A man who gives off a dangerous scent, one that drags up the past she ran from. She should have pushed him away. He was only wearing the mask of a benefactor; underneath, he was the kind of thug she’d always hated. “If there’s anything you’d like to drink, I’ll pay, so pick something.” “Just a drink?” But Sahee didn’t realize. “Pay me back a different way.” Like Persephone held captive by Hades, she had no real choice from the start. “I’m not letting you go.” Everything had been meticulously designed for her— an unbelievable trap.
