Summary
Thetis, the princess of the Carnes Empire, was filled with dreams as her wedding to her beloved fiancé, Romain, approached. One night, however, everything collapsed. At Romain’s urgent request—claiming that her parents had been attacked by an enemy nation—Thetis handed over her imperial seal. Because of that single moment, her brother, Crown Prince Theodor, was falsely accused of treason and killed. Romain had manipulated her from the start, using Thetis to eliminate the imperial family and seize the throne for himself. Imprisoned in a monastery by Romain, now the new emperor, Thetis fell into despair and attempted to take her own life—only to choose revenge instead. She returns to the capital and, under Romain’s coercion, is forced into the position of empress. Then, before her appears a face she had forgotten. This man’s arrival was never part of her plan. No—he shouldn’t have appeared at all. An old, broken bond interfering with her revenge was the last thing she wanted.
